BISHOP REUEL NORMAN O. MARIGZA WAS ELECTED IN THE COUNCIL OF THE UEM

UNITED EVANGELICAL MISSION (UEM) GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2016

The UEM recently held it’s 8^th General Assembly with the theme: “Share the Good News: Grace and Faith in Action.” The assembly was held in Rwanda from 28 September – 8 October 2016.

The governing organs of the UEM are the General Assembly, the Council and the Management Team. The General Assembly converges every 4 years and meets every 2 years. The Council advises and supervises the Management Team, elects the General Secretary, and appoints the General Secretariat and the Executive Secretaries as members of the Management Team. The Council comprises 14 delegates from the General Assembly. It votes for the Moderator, 4 persons from each UEM region and 1 young adult. This year, UCCP General Secretary, Bishop Reuel Norman O. Marigza was elected to the council for a 4-year term, along with 3 other council members from Indonesia, to represent Asia region.
