Conference Ministers Gather for the UCCP Leaders Midterm Planning

Alfonso, Cavite City, October 8-11, 2015—Conference Ministers from different parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao converged in St. Paul Center for Renewal to mark the UCCP Leaders Mid Term Planning.

The Conference Ministers participated in the discussions on the UCCP Vision, Missions, Thrusts and Best Practices. Also, being dealt were the redefinition of the constitutionally mandated role and duties of the Conference Ministers. The conduct of the planning activity allows the Conference Ministers to feel elated and excited because the Big Church Planning has become inclusive not only to the Conferences and Local Churches life and work but also with the CROs, Church Institutions (the Schools and Hospitals), Seminaries, Program Coordinators, various Commissions and the National Secretariat.

“All Leaders Planning is a dream come true. The CMs had a wonderful experienced brainstorming, leveling-off and looking forward to a more unified, steadfast and dedicated household of faith.” according to Rev. Ruth P. Billena.

Bishop Reuel Norman O. Marigza – the UCCP General Secretary said, “the discussion of assessing where we are as a Church and forging a common self-understanding, self-assessment and coming out with a common and unified direction as a church is a big leap of faith. Making the lifework of the UCCP truly meaningful and relevant in her holistic mission as a church. It brings us together to pursue the Church’s unified and coherent directions.”

The Conference Ministers and National Secretariat also spent the day in creative team-building activities and friendly games at Camp Benjamin for the not-so sporty types but builds unity and fun for all.

The attendees congratulate the UCCP Leadership for making this Spirit driven VMG propelled and the partnership laden planning workshop come to pass. The four day planning activity was indeed, exciting, challenging, fulfilling and truly God is glorified.
