SUMMONED TO BE FAITHFUL TO GOD’S MISSION

SUMMONED TO BE FAITHFUL TO GOD’S MISSION

Mission is a proceeding life and witness of the UCCP expressed in varied ministries being carried out. Its concept of mission goes beyond the faithful proclamation of the Gospel of God’s reign, but extends to its readiness to be in solidarity with the struggles of the basic sectors wanting to be free from the shackles of poverty and oppression. This eventual renewal and transformation of God’s creation is our vision and action.

OUR PRAYER FOR THE SONA 2022

OUR PRAYER FOR THE SONA 2022

Today, perhaps we have forgotten the lessons of the past, for if the recently- conducted elections were truly without fraud, we can say that we have chosen the son and namesake of the oppressive and tyrannical leader of our country’s Martial Law years to now lead us. Forgive us, dear God, for forgetting the precious lessons of the past, for not being able to enlighten and fully guard the hearts and minds of our sons and daughters and thereby allowing them to be exposed to lies and distortions of truth, leading them to choose again another Marcos who believes that the time of his father’s leadership, those years that we were under Martial Law, was a “Golden Age” of our country’s prosperity, a great lie perpetuated to distort and change the truth.

OUR COMMITMENT TO MANIFEST GOD’S KINGDOM GOES ON

OUR COMMITMENT TO MANIFEST GOD’S KINGDOM GOES ON

On June 30, 2022, our nation will be a witness to an anticipated elaborate, resplendent and tightly secured inauguration of the country’s 17th president, Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. who won by a seemingly overwhelming margin over his presidential rivals in the May 9, 2022 elections. This historic event happens amidst a situation beleaguered by a deep-seated economic poverty, political divide, hopelessness and anxieties. It takes place at a time when we are faced with inordinate challenges as to how our country would be able to rise above the never-ending tempests that haunt us every so often.
